Logistics Coordinator - Silk and Snow

Silk and Snow is a Toronto business that offers thoughtfully designed bedding products with a frictionless customer experience.

We are a highly collaborative team that works with one another seamlessly to enhance the customer experience. We are looking to add a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join the Silk and Snow team.

Our ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of our order fulfillment and continuously assist with the efficiency of our Operations and Logistics team.

You’ll be the primary liaison between the Operations and Customer Service team and responsible for ensuring issues regarding fulfillment of an order are resolved in a timely manner.

This role is critical to our operations, your work will be at the heart of everything we do for our customers.

This role is Sunday-Thursday 9-5 pm EST and requires 2 days in the office at 670 Caledonia Rd Unit 200, Toronto, ON M6E 4V9.

What you'll do

  • Build relationships with third-party service providers, like 3PL warehouse operators, couriers and donation partners
  • Monitor and measure warehouse performance such as fulfillment, receiving, return processing, etc. against Service Level Agreements
  • Audit various supplier invoices
  • Monitor and analyze cost indicators such as average cost per unit delivered, average cost per unit fulfilled, storage cost against actual storage, etc.
  • Negotiate or escalate when necessary
  • Identify issues, immediate fixes and long-term solutions for logistics and reverse logistics
  • Assist with other tasks and projects within the Operations team as assigned

Who you are

2-3 years’ of experience in a logistics role, preferably in e-commerce (transportation, distribution, warehousing, or operational experience considered an asset)

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study

Experience dealing with 3PL and carriers

High proficiency in MS Excel is required, knowledge in PowerBI is an asset

Analytical mindset with an investigative approach to situations

Passion for problem-solving, investigating issues, and finding quick and realistic solutions

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to forge strong cross-functional relationships

Highly organized with the ability to skillfully manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
