We are currently seeking qualified applicants for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our growing crew of aviation professionals on a full-time permanent basisin our locations listed below .

Our Operations :

Heavy Checks : Heavy maintenance checks on company and customer aircraft.

PAL Airlines Flight Line : Daily line maintenance support for Eastern Canada’s largest regional carrier.

Our operations are a fast-paced, dynamic operation includes all maintenance checks and repairs carried out in the flight line, i.

e. between flights or overnights. This includes layover checks up to A-checks, engine changes, propeller replacements, and scheduled heavy maintenance.

Our team currently maintains both DHC-8 and ATR aircrafts

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Maintain / modify / repair aircraft and related components in accordance with company and Transport Canada Regulations;
  • Prepare aircraft for maintenance, repair, and / or modification.
  • Aircraft Management including : assisting with tug and towing procedure, aircraft defueling, and jacking up and down the aircraft.
  • Carry out and coordinate the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all aircraft and aircraft components including heavy maintenance;
  • Co-ordinate parts and ensure sufficient tools and equipment are made available to accomplish the maintenance and inspection functions;
  • Other duties as assigned based on role specifications.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Required : Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Course completed or have equivalent experience such as FAA Training; or equivalent
  • Required : Aircraft Maintenance License with a minimum of 5 years of experienceIndividuals who have relevant experience and / or have completed an ICS course will also be considered
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, the international language of aviation.
  • Experience in line maintenance or heavy maintenance operations would be considered an asset;
  • Experience on the following aircraft is preferred : Dash 8-100 / 200 / 300 and / or Dash 8-400 ATR-42 or ATR-72
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Troubleshooting skills;
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, decision-making, organization and communication skills;
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada Regulations is considered an asset;
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and / or unforeseen situations.
  • Type Course Certification is considered an assetThe standard we strive for is that Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at PAL are Type-Certified on Company Aircraft.

For all qualified employees who are not already Type Course Certified, we will arrange training and cover all expenses to get you certified.
