Talent Specialist

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an entrepreneurial and hands-on Talent Partner to join a growing organization within the transportation and logistics industry. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR and Talent Acquisition professional who enjoys both recruiting top talent and managing broader HR responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and successful placement.
Recruit B2B sales professionals, including freight brokers, account managers and business development talent.
Proactively source candidates through networking, outbound calls, referrals and market mapping.
Assess candidates for sales capabilities, communication skills and commercial acumen.
Partner with leadership on workforce planning and recruitment strategies.
Oversee HR operations, including onboarding, off boarding and employee relations.
Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and employment documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, including the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
Coordinate performance evaluations and employee feedback initiatives.
Build scalable HR and recruitment processes to support business growth and future expansion.

Qualifications
At least 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition
Proven full-cycle recruitment experience, particularly hiring B2B sales professionals.
Experience recruiting freight brokers, account managers, business development professionals or commercial sales talent.
Previous experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage or a B2B sales-driven environment is highly preferred.
Strong HR Generalist experience, including policy development, employee relations, onboarding, off boarding and employment compliance.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage recruitment and HR operations in a standalone or small-business environment.
Strong sourcing, interviewing, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with HRIS platforms; experience with Breezy is an asset.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset.
