Job description
What it's like to be a Northbridge Senior Corporate Counsel

The Senior Corporate Counsel will be an integral member of the Legal and Compliance team and will be responsible for managing a variety of legal and regulatory matters and supporting our business partners in a complex property and casualty insurance environment. The Senior Corporate Counsel is also responsible for providing assistance to the General Counsel and Assistant General Counsels in carrying out their respective duties.

If you are great at:
  • Providing legal advice and support to our internal business partners
  • Supporting our regulatory compliance practices
  • Undertaking day to day activities in a manner consistent with Northbridge Financial Corporate's culture
  • Ensure the integrity, values and culture of the company is always maintained

If you have:
  • 5+ years' legal at a corporation or law firm, with experience in corporate commercial, insurance regulatory or insurance litigation defense.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial laws applicable to insurance companies is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial privacy legislation would be an asset but is not a requirement.
  • French language would be an asset but is not a requirement.
  • Law Degree; Membership in the Law Society of Upper Canada.
