Responsibilities:
-Compile and enter payroll data; post wage and reconcile errors to maintain payroll records
-Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
-Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
-Record changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage for each employee to update master payroll records
-Assisting with processing the payroll
-Enter new employee information into the software
-Maintain files and records in written and electronic formats for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance
-Other clerical duties as required, such as drafting documents and communications, scanning, filing, shredding, and data entry, etc.
-Any other duties as required
Qualifications:
-Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting or Payroll is considered an asset
-A minimum of one year of experience in a data entry, administrative support or payroll support role would be considered an asset
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and approach situations in a diplomatic and professional manner
-Proficiency using a payroll/accounting program
-Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English, with various stakeholders.
-Strong attention to detail is crucial for this role
-Analysis and critical thinking, as well as problem-solving skills are required
-Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
