Job Description

Our client is looking for a Director of People Operations who will create and execute a vision for the People department that aligns with their goals and values.

Our client is a small but growing company, so you'll be hands-on with both strategic development and tactical delivery of enhancements to their corporate talent strategy and for ensuring employee satisfaction.

You have extensive knowledge across HR disciplines. You have a proven track record of successes driving positive impact within an organization in the areas of talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation structures, benefits administration, change management, safety, etc.

This role is full-time, on-site at the client's office in Downtown Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction and guidance in the structuring and implementation of HR policies and procedures that touch all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

You’ll shape processes for talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management and retention, learning and development, performance management and reviews, conflict resolution and other areas as needed.

  • Lead and manage the global People Operations team, providing direction and support to individual team members.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders to develop and implement strategic initiatives and programs that align with the company's mission and values, supporting all people-related matters.
  • Develop and manage employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and motivated workforce.
  • Conduct regular reviews of HR processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Leverage HR technology and systems to optimize processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Communicate and report on HR metrics and analytics to senior leadership, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience with specific expertise in talent acquisition, talent management and retention, preferably at a high-growth and fast-paced organization.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably as a Director of People Operations or similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and CPHR designation preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives with a strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with HR systems and technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
