Responsibilities:​

• Prepare plans, designs, calculations, and analysis in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings and other specifications

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of engineering technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoff and cost estimates, drawings or schedules as assigned

• Perform structural analysis and evaluation with various software

• Interpret and analyze field inspection data to evaluate and make recommendations on technical problem solutions

• Conduct bridge and structural inspection work by doing non-destructive testing, recording/measuring bridge dimension types (according to standards) and saw cut and concrete core sampling

• Assist in site work such as traffic control and flagging

• Prepare contract documents, tender evaluations and/or construction liaison and support services

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural engineering with strong interest in structures, particularly bridges

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the consulting industry working with transportation structures

• Interest in working both in the office and out in the field

• Ability to perform outdoor physical duties including bridge inspection work

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Organized and detail-oriented

• Strong computer skills, including experience with CAD, SAP2000, CSiBridge and MIDAS

• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
