Description

General information :

The Transformers Services Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the Hitachi Energy's transformers services portfolio in NAM.

This includes conducting market research, identifying opportunities for new products, developing product strategies, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The product is defined as a portfolio of transformers services offerings.

Responsibilities :

Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products / transformers services offerings or improvements to existing products / transformers services offerings.

Understand customer needs and industry trends.

Develop product strategies that align with the company's business goals. This includes setting product / transformers services offering pricing and positioning strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to develop and launch new products / transformers services offerings.

Monitor and report on product / transformers services offerings performance. Use data to make informed decisions about product development and strategy.

Coordinate the product lifecycle with the global product management team, from initial concept to end-of-life. Provide recommendations about product development, and discontinuation based on NAM market data.

Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers, current transformers, bushings, etc.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.

8+ years of proven experience in product management, preferably in the transformers services industry.

Strong understanding of the transformers services market and customer needs.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision making.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally is an essential part of this position. Travel up to 30%
