Insurity’s NextProduct Owner

We’re looking for a self-starter, someone who loves to learn and collaborate with others. In this role, you’ll be working with several scrum teams and learning about several products in the Insurity portfolio Digital Payments (outbound and inbound) and the Sure Premium Audit and Loss Control platform.

In addition, you’ll be responsible for managing vendor relationships, driving product work, and supporting customers onboard and post-go-live.

What OurProduct OwnerWill Do

  • Works closely with Product Manager to translate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to epics and stories delivered through sprints and releases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on feature requirements and scope for release planning
  • Manage the relationship with vendors integrated with the product and keep abreast of their roadmaps and product direction
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consensus on sprint priorities and scope of proposed enhancements
  • Determine whether new features can be released, accountable for the clean release of features
  • Work with stakeholders and scrum team leads to clarify scope and coordinate estimates for presales projects
  • Identify business requirements and write well-defined stories and supporting artifacts that define the what and why for the scrum teams.
  • Ensure solutions built by the scrum team align to stakeholder expectations
  • Facilitate refinement sessions with the scrum team and ensure sprints are well planned
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Provide timely and accurate project status for stakeholders
  • Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
  • Support customers who are onboarding the product
  • Support the triage of issues coming in from customers

  • 3 years’experience in web-based product development
  • 1 year as a Product Owner or Business Analyst or related role.
  • Familiarity with XML / XLST, RESTful APIs, SQL
  • Bachelor’s degree and / or relevant work experience.
  • Some travel required

Along with the benefits listedabove, the salary range for this role is CAD70,000 - CAD137,000, commensurate with experience.
