As a Data Quality Specialist at Best Buy Canada, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across our data and analytics systems and platforms.

Your primary responsibility as a Data Quality Specialist will be to develop and implement data quality standards, processes, and procedures to maintain data integrity.

What you'll do :

  • Conduct regular assessments and automate data quality assurance to ensure data accuracy, identify issues, and develop metrics and KPIs, investigating root causes of discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Define and implement data quality standards, processes, and best practices, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adherence and maintain data integrity.
  • Perform data profiling and analysis to identify patterns, trends, and quality issues, and collaborate with data owners to resolve them.
  • Plan, document, and perform automated tests while developing and maintaining scalable quality assurance frameworks across multiple data systems.
  • Ensure data products and pipelines meet quality standards and business requirements by developing, executing, and automating validation tests.
  • Develop and implement data quality improvement initiatives, partner with IT for automation, and recommend system enhancements.
  • Test, validate, and monitor data pipelines for performance, reliability, and integration issues.
  • Document data quality rules and processes, and present findings to stakeholders.

What we're looking for :

  • 2-3 years of data & analytics experience.
  • Experience in data analysis, data quality management or related field.
  • Test automation experience using Groovy, Java or JavaScript.
  • Experience with TestNG, Spock framework and Selenium.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, data profiling and data quality management tools.
  • Strong understanding of the Azure Data Stack.
  • Experience in testing and validating data pipelines and ETL processes.

Annualized base pay range

$69,000.00 - $73,000.00

Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
