The Team
Nanometrics is looking for a dynamic Quality Engineer. Reporting to the Senior Manager Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering, the candidate will assist in actively maintaining the Quality Management System.
We are looking for someone with experience working within a Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment, driving quality into the products and processes leveraging the CAPA process.
The position requires an individual capable of working across various groups to ensure the most effective and efficient operational improvements are adhered to in a lean manufacturing environment ensuring lowest cost and highest quality, while providing tracking and trending of key performance indicators.
We are looking for a talented individual who is hands-on, self-driven, motivated, and demonstrates a desire to improve quality within manufacturing.
The Role
Maintain the Quality Management System
Ensuring Quality Standards are designed and implemented in our processes and procedures
Conducting Quality Audits and Inspections
Identify and investigate quality issues adhering to the CAPA process
Work with vendors to resolve quality issues
Drive and support activities related to process and product quality improvements
Support non-conformance and yield improvement initiatives
Performance Monitoring and Reporting on KPIs utilizing various communication tools
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
8-10 Years of experience in Quality Control accountability in Manufacturing Environment
Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems and providing training on QMS
Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO14001
Experience in inspections and supporting audits
Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing Industry, specifications, drawings, methods and procedures, with
Demonstrable experience in Six Sigma / LEAN manufacturing methodologies
