Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights, you will help drive FCPO's modeling capability through tools such as statistical analysis or machine learning solutions. This role will act as the primary steward and contact for fraud modeling needs, partnering with internal model governance oversight partners, external vendors and fraud business partners. You will manage and develop modeling talent within our Machine Learning team, while working with those partners to prioritize the team's time to ensure existing inventory is sustained in a well-managed way and delivering new program enhancements to better detect fraud.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and develop a team of Data Modelling professionals and provide day-to-day guidance as required.
- Act as a People Manager, being responsible for ongoing coaching and development, setting objectives and assessing performance.
- Maintain a well-managed model inventory, including execution and review of regular and appropriate performance monitoring, annual model reviews and other model risk management artifacts.
- Support Canadian and US fraud business needs through the evolution and growth of the fraud model inventory.
- Onboard & manage FCPO's fraud vendor model inventory.
- Partner with compliance / MV / MRM / COMO risk control partners to right-size TD risk appetite for fraud model portfolio.
- Identify process and behavioural changes that can meaningfully accelerate the model development and deployment timeline.
- Participate and influence strategic planning, including technology investments.
- Drive monthly and quarterly performance monitoring and attestations with business and executive leadership partners.
- Explore new data features that can enrich TD fraud detection to identify potential Model and Production System upgrades.
- Participate in management committees, employee recognition and volunteer events.
Job Requirements
Track record of working across organization and with multiple stakeholders at varying levels.
Creative, out-of-the-box thinker, with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated experience of developing and implementing classical and ML oriented models like Logistic Regression, Lasso and Ridge regularization, bagging and boosting techniques, and advanced modeling algorithms including neural networks
Undergraduate degree in a numerate discipline (e.g., Statistics) required
