Maple Therapist

Shift Collab, a leader in therapy and mental health education, has partnered with Maple, Canada’s premier virtual care platform, to provide virtual therapy.

This is the first service of its kind in Canada, as it innovates on the traditional care model because it provides true on-demand and scheduled sessions for clients from the comfort of their home.

Clients have the ability to choose their therapist on a day and at a time that works for them. As a therapist, you will support clients with a range of presenting issues, including mood disorders, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, work or school stress, and life transitions.

As a contracted therapist with Shift Collab, you'll deliver two types of sessions :

• On-Demand Sessions : You will have the opportunity to pick up sessions between 8 am and 8 pm seven days per week, for up to 6 hours per week based on demand.
• Scheduled Sessions : Allocate 6 hours per week in the Maple calendar, allowing clients to schedule sessions directly through the Maple app.

While flexibility is inherent to the role, we expect therapists to be regularly available during their scheduled hours, ready to engage with clients.

Sessions can be conducted via iPhone, laptop, or desktop computer in a professional, private space with reliable internet access.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English and French)
• Have a Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work
• Be a Registered Psychotherapist or Social Worker with your provincial regulatory body (New Brunswick required, other provinces along with New Brunswick an asset)
• Have 2+ years of experience providing individual therapy to adults
• Have a minimum of 12-hours of availability per week
• Have up-to-date professional liability insurance or commit to having such insurance prior to your start date
• Have a willingness to learn and be comfortable in providing virtual therapy
• You must have an iPhone, iPad and / or a laptop
• Be comfortable with technology and delivering video / phone or text counselling sessions

Benefits

For each 50-minute session that is completed, you will be compensated $70, paid on a monthly basis via direct deposit.
