As the Business Development Trainee , you will be reporting to the Area Manager. You will be brought in to learn the business starting from the warehouse and moving to other areas of the business such as Counter Sales, Inside Sales & Outside sales.

As part of the training you will also be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive business growth and revenue.

Business Development Trainee Daily Responsibilities :

  • Learn and develop into a future Sales & Business Development Representative.
  • Learn and optimize processes from the warehouse operations to sales ownership including learning about new products and services, and develop market go-to strategies to grow customer base.
  • Willing to learn about Electrical industry and develop it into a career,
  • Learn to analyze our targeted customers by utilizing specific territory and demographic research
  • Seek out new sales opportunities and employ the benefit of cross-selling approved products
  • Willing to learn and understand market and territory research, connecting with our targeted audiences, increasing quality engagements, and brand profitability
  • Work with other Business Development Trainees and the Area Sales Manager to ensure all goals are met
  • Conduct outbound calls to engage prospects and effectively communicate the benefits of our services
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by efficiently managing leads and opportunities, and diligently follow up with potential clients.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance selling skills and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients, fostering a positive customer experience.

Skills Needed For Success As Our Business Development Trainee :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, or related field is required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Business Development, Account Management and / or Sales is desired
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Tenacity, grit, and a dedication to professionalism
  • A student mentality and the drive to succeed and gain new skill sets
  • Approachable and a positive, empathetic demeanor
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and driven to meet and exceed sales targets consistently
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a customer-centric approach to sales
  • Commitment to learn, develop during the training program & deliver results post training program.
