Reporting to the Executive Vice-President of Retirement Living, the Vice President, Resident Experience is a critical role that shapes the living experiences of our residents across the Aspira brand in Canada.

You will spearhead the development of a comprehensive road map of programs and services that distinguishes Aspira as a leader in resident engagement, dining, and culinary services.

Collaborating closely with the Retirement Operations and Clinical Leadership Teams, you will focus on enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Your mission will be to foster a vibrant, welcoming environment that encourages residents to thrive and feel at home, ensuring that all programs align seamlessly with the Aspira brand and meet our key performance indicators.

This role demands innovative leadership and a deep commitment to creating exceptional resident experiences.

What You’ll Do : Resident Engagement

Resident Engagement

  • Accountable for the development and implementation of high quality resident engagement / experience programs that that meet the diverse preferences, interests and recreational needs of residents across Canada
  • Increase brand reputation through the consistent achievement of execution excellence and profitability in the resident engagement operations
  • Ensure resident engagement programs and standards are maintained at each residence in compliance with Regulations, Sienna policies / standards and in alignment with the Aspira Brand
  • Elevate best practices in the spirit of increasing operational efficiency, performance levels and resident satisfaction

Culinary & Dining Experience

  • Accountable for culinary operations to deliver high-quality culinary & dining experiences that meet the diverse preferences and dietary needs of residents across Canada
  • Increase brand reputation through the consistent achievement of execution excellence and profitability in the culinary operations
  • Ensure Culinary standards and food quality are maintained at each residence in compliance with Regulations and Sienna policies / standards
  • Elevate best practices in the spirit of increasing operational efficiency, performance levels and resident satisfaction

Stakeholder Management

  • Cultivate strong relationships internally and externally to understand culinary and resident engagement needs across Canada, specific to each province, to support resident retention and satisfaction
  • Anticipate organizational needs, identify and support solutions to overcome barriers, and identify opportunity for process and outcome efficiencies
  • Analyze market trends, resident feedback, industry best practices and resident feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation and develop new programs that align to the Aspira brand
  • Lead and operate in a manner that promotes and is aligned with the organization’s purpose, vision and values while holding others accountable for operating in a manner consistent with the Sienna’s desired culture

Who you are :

  • You hold a university degree or college diploma in business or a related field
  • With over 15 years of progressive experience in hospitality, retail, senior living, or a related industry, you've honed your skills in creating and leading successful teams
  • You operate with a strategic and growth mindset, consistently helping businesses achieve their objectives through careful planning and innovation
  • You have demonstrated proficiency in crafting and executing branding initiatives, strategic engagement plans, and resident-centered experiences
  • Your ability to work effectively with multiple senior stakeholders enables you to influence business outcomes significantly
  • You possess excellent presentation, project management, change management, relationship management, problem-solving, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
  • You have demonstrated experience in developing strong, effective working relationships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders, alongside relevant external organizations
  • You have a strong knowledge of change management, including stakeholder analysis, change readiness, organizational impact assessments, and process mapping, along with a working knowledge of tools like Voice of the Customer and 5 Why’s.
  • You have a passion for serving seniors and are committed to creating enriching experiences that enhance their quality of life
