Aecon is currently looking for Project Coordinators to join our Nuclear Infrastructure Projects. In support of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Refurbishment, we are setting up all the necessary infrastructure to start the refurbishment. This includes a new office building and control centers inside the protected area and upgrades to existing buildings both on the Pickering site as well as off-site.
Supporting the Infrastructure Project Team, the Project Coordinator Co-op will be responsible for supporting the Project Coordinators with readiness planning, execution, and closeout of their assigned scopes. This includes ensuring all material supplied as required, writing work packages and instructions, and supporting their work in the field during execution.
The Project Coordinator Co-op is a highly motivated self starter who will assist in various areas of our project, depending on business requirements. Please note, this is a 12 month work term.
What You'll Do Here:
- Communicates with engineering team members and engineering manager to maintain the engineering scopes work breakdown structure.
- Communicates changes/updates from the engineering team to other project groups (i.e. scheduling, project controls, construction).
- Organizes meetings (internal or client) as required by the engineering team and develops meeting minutes.
- Reports on Action Items from engineering meetings for input to the Action Items register.
- Coordinates requests for information to vendors/client as identified by the engineering team.
What You Bring To The Team:
- 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Engineering degree program (Energy, Power, Electrical, Electronics, I&C, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Nuclear).
- 2nd or 3rd year Engineering Technology or Engineering Technician program (Energy, Power, Electrical, Electronics, I&C, Mechanical, Civil/Structural).
- Strong interpersonal skills when communicating with a large team.
- Organizational and time management skills (ability to prioritize tasks).
- Experience with Microsoft Excel an asset.

Pay Range $22-28/hr
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
