Our client, a custom machine shop that manufacturers saw blades, CNC tooling, cutters and more, is looking to hire a Production Manager to join their growing team!
The Production Manager is responsible for management and supervision of the manufacturing shop floor including production output, efficiency, quality control, employee relations and maintenance.
Responsibilities :
Establishes and maintains best practice work and production standards.
Production Planning and Scheduling
Manages, supports and mentors production employees to ensure compliance with standard operational, quality and working practices.
Plans and organizes operations to determine priorities for manufacturing products.
Ensures production targets and quality standards are maintained.
Removes production constraints to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
Responds to employee issues regarding production and quality issues.
Maintains and supports a superior safety and housekeeping program.
Encourages and promotes a continuous improvement environment.
Communicates with other departments regarding product delivery status and requirements.
Qualifications :
Production Supervisor / management experience in a custom machining shop.
Strong knowledge of conventional / CNC turning, milling and grinding operations.
Take-charge individual with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.
Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.
Understanding of health and safety legislation, systems and policies.
Knowledge of cutting tools, tool manufacturing and geometry an asset.
