Reporting to the Manager DatabaseServices the Sr. Database Administrator shall be responsible forbuilding & support activities within a large and complexenvironment.

The role oversees solutions and delivery of Oracle SQLServer MariaDB and other OpenSource databases Golden Gate andemerging database technologies.

Successful candidate requiresstrong technical skills coupled with the ability to work in afastpaced environment managing diverse activities.

What you willbe doing :

• Managingenterprise database support and building services for databasesensuring efficient project delivery and optimaluptime.
• Provide leadership and technicalexpertise in resolving Incident Problem managementand
• implement infrastructure / databasechanges.
• Working closely with technical teamleads IT specialists management andapplication
• support groups to ensure quality ofservice and timely delivery of projects.
• Monitoring database performance and identifying ways to optimizeit
• Troubleshoot complex database issues ininstallation migration and / or upgrade for timelyresolution.
• Staying abreast with new databasetechnologies and analyzing such technologies to bring into scope ofexisting infrastructure.
• 24 / 7 support tomissioncritical applications and databases and afterhours oncallsupport may be required
• Managing the designbuild and delivery process for databases and Golden gatereplication.
• Improve the database standardsconsolidation disaster recovery strategies and deliveryoperations.
• Solving complex problems promotingefficiency and identifying opportunities for processautomation.

What you bring :

• Degree in Computer Science or relatedfield.
• 10 years handson experience in managingdatabases with deep understanding of infrastructure and databasearchitecture.
• Expert level technical knowledgeof database technology stack; mainly Oracle ExadataSQL ServerMariaDB & leading NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in database management architecture design maintenanceand overseeing Oracle Exadata Machine PCA andZDLRA.
• Expertlevel knowledge of Oracle ActiveData Guard Golden Gate ZDLRA and OEMsupport.
• Sound knowledge of configurationmanaging and handling Security Alerts on Exadata andZDLRA.
• Experienced in migrating Oracledatabases from Linux VM environments to Exadata.Good understandingof Exadata quarterly upgrades / patches including rollingpatches.
• Skilled in the administration of ASMDisk Groups and rebalance operation using Exadata Storage.
• Preferred to have the ability to managemultiple Oracle Exadata Database Machines.
• Theideal candidate will have experience with Red Hat RHEL 6 / 7 / 8 orOracle Linux.
• Knowledgeable inimplementing and managing OCI IaaS PaaS and SaaS services.Good tounderstand Exadata features like Flash cache Storage Index HCC andIORM.
• Scripting experience in PERL Python orShell.
• Database Administration Certification(must have).
• ITIL Foundation(preferred)
