Job Title Project Management Assistant USRC (Supporting the GO Expansion Program) Location Toronto, ON CA (Primary) Category Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Technical Advisory Job Type Full-time Job Responsibilities (Internal Role : Project Management II) Provide administrative support and coordination to the Project Manager, and for the OnCorr project Technical Management Office, ensuring smooth execution of project activities Assist in the Development and Implementation phases of the OnCorr project, collaborating with Managers and project teams to achieve project objectives Coordinate the pre-construction processes by reviewing plans and associated documents, ensuring effective project coordination within the RER network Support the implementation of project standards and manage critical paths and milestones, providing regular project status updates to the Director Proactively address conflicts to facilitate timely resolution, track issues, and contribute to the investigation of potential project disruptions, implementing corrective measures as necessary Implement and manage the assigned projects or project elements from inception through to completion Develop new project plans in consultation with the required stakeholders, including clients Utilize the human and material resources provided to complete assigned tasks successfully Administer a resource allocation strategy and utilize this when distributing work and budgets Exercise authority in managing the assigned work and support the delivery of the project per the project plan Contribute to staff performance by ensuring excellence and adherence to specified deadlines Review and ensure observance of the overall scope, schedule, and budget Track, monitor, and report on performance against project requirements, schedule, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs Working Conditions Office-based Qualifications Required Experience : Minimum of four years of project coordination experience, preferably in the design, construction, or assurance of heavy passenger rail transit systems or related works Education : Bachelor’s degree in applied science, engineering, or a related discipline, or a combination of education, training, and equivalent experience Licenses OR Certifications : Must have a recognized certification such as PMI Project Management, ReadyTM, and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Skills and Competencies : Familiarity with railway corridor infrastructure and related construction projects Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and project teams Proficiency in project management software and tools is desirable Effective skills in Microsoft Office Proficient in project management software Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal) Equipped to work independently and as part of a team Comtech Group Inc.
