Client Overview : We are hiring for a leading technology companywith a focus on hardware research in the MSR Azureteam.
Role Summary : As a Lab ITTechnician you will play a crucial role in maintaining the daytodayoperation of a hardware lab ensuring its functionality andsupporting the research team in their experiments andprojects.
4.What are the keyresponsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties :
Perform regular hardware condition inspections and documentcomponent health status.
Conductdevice inventory to prevent loss or damage of MSassets.
Troubleshoot softwareissues hardware problems and network connectivityissues.
Set up new computersinstall necessary software and ensure networkconnectivity.
Check and updatethe OS drivers and firmware of systems for optimalperformance.
Conduct securitychecks run antivirus scans and update securityprotocols.
Regularly back upimportant data to prevent loss in case of systemfailure.
Manage IT equipmentinventory and document processes.
Implement and maintain virtual machines databases and storageservices.
Communicate withvendors for hardware and software purchases and issueresolution.
5.What experience are we looking for to drivesuccess
MUSTHave Skills andQualifications :
Bachelors degreein a related field (e.g. computersengineering).
1 years ofexperience in a hardware labenvironment.
Proficiency inOffice 365 for business communication data analysis and documentcreation.
Knowledge of commonlyused Linux / Windows commands for computer and resourceconfiguration.
Experience withSSH VirtualBox and Docker for IT assetmanagement.
Preferred Skills andQualifications :
Familiarity withIPMI (Intelligent Platform ManagementInterface).
Experience with AzureDevOps GitHub Azure CLI Azure Portal(web).
