PartnerStaffing is currently working with ourclient seeking atalented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team inCalgaryAlberta.

PositionOverview :

TheElectrical Engineer will be responsible for designing developingand implementing electrical systems for utility power distributionand transmission projects.

The successful candidate will workclosely with project managers other engineers and stakeholders toensure projects are completed efficiently safely and to the highestqualitystandards.

Requirements

KeyResponsibilities :

Design& Development : Create detailed electrical designsschematics and layouts for power distribution and transmissionsystems.

Ensure designs comply with industry standards and clientspecifications.

ProjectExecution : Support the execution of electrical projects includingpreparing technical specifications conducting feasibility studiesand performing electricalcalculations.

TechnicalSupport : Provide technical expertise and support to project teamsduring the construction installation and commissioning phases.

Resolve technical issues and ensure project milestones aremet.

QualityAssurance : Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews ofelectrical designs and installations. Ensure all work meetsregulatory and safetystandards.

Documentation : Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation includingdesign reports technical drawings and test reports.

Ensure alldocumentation is accurate and up todate.

Collaboration : Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including civilmechanical and environmental engineers.

Communicate effectivelywith clients contractors and regulatoryauthorities.

Qualifications :

Bachelorsdegree in Electrical Engineering or a relatedfield.

Minimum4 years of experience in electrical engineering within theutilities power distribution and transmissionsector.

Experiencewith largescale power distribution and transmissionprojects.

Responsibilities : The Responsibilities of this position include butare not limited to the following : Attend site meetings Serve asmain point of contact for the builder for any project-relatedquestions / requests Understand project specifications and objectivesProactively identify potential issues Report on milestone dates anddeliverables Respond to field issues and questions with engineeringand other resources as required Investigate claims promptly andresolve them fairly Proactive approach to change orders Support andengage in a collaborative work environment Liaise with Architect,Client, Contractor, Owner, Specialty Consultants, Project Manager,Job Captain and Project Engineer Complete time critical reportsincluding Request for Information, Contemplated Revisions, ChangeOrders, Field Review, Pricing Review, Progress Claim Review Issueand sign off on Site Deficiency Reports, verify and accept As BuiltDrawings and Operational and Maintenance Manuals and ensure allrequired information has been received prior to issuance of ClosingLetters Provide customer service levels that meet or exceedcustomers' expectations Actively work on multiple projectssimultaneously Overtime as required Education & Experience : Educational or trade background in electrical design Designbackground in building technology is a definite asset Minimum 5years of experience in a similar role Experience in buildingGeneral Reviews Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal Proven ability to meet deadlines / successful completion ofdeliverables Ability to communicate and work well with otherdepartments Excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work under pressure Team and client-focusedSelf-motivated, hardworking, flexible Technical Abilities : Candidates must have a good working knowledge of currentconstruction practices, including working drawing production andconstruction reviews, as well as specifications, contracts andconsultant agreements.

Experience and knowledge of buildinglighting, power and systems is a must Mechanical expertise in HVAC,plumbing, drainage and fire protection systems is an asset AutoCADand REVIT drawing review experience Experience with Microsoft Suitetools (Word, Outlook, and Excel) Requirement : Must have a vehicleand valid driver s license for the province of Ontario ExpectedCompetencies : In order to be successful in this position, theincumbent will be expected to possess the following competencies : Attention to Detail : Working in a conscientious, consistent andthorough manner to demonstrate concern for thoroughness andaccuracy Client Focus : Providing service excellence and added valueto internal and / or external clients Problem Solving : Identifyingcomplex problems and the solutions to them Self-Confidence : Demonstrating realistic trust in own abilities and remainsconfident when challenged Teamwork : Working collaboratively andproactively with others to achieve organizational goals Initiative : Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently,seizing opportunities that arise to enhance organizationalperformance Results Management : Organizes time, work and resourcesto accomplish objectives in the most effective and efficient wayInteractive Communication : Listening and adapting to others andcommunicating articulately, fostering opencommunication
