The Senior Relationship Manager, Client Management develops solid, long‑term professional relationships with clients and prospects. He/she will identify, and refer new business opportunities to Senior Manager, Client Management and will follow‑up with existing customers in an effort to improve service and customer value.
Key Accountabilities
- To ensure TSX Trust service delivery mandate is achieved, develop relationships with Issuer contacts and understand and communicate the Issuer’s service requirements internally.
- The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible to communicate and coordinate servicing and operational activities with the appropriate departments within the organization.
- Day to day direct interface with clients, including their counsel and advisors and oversee the administration of a portfolio of Issuer Clients.
- Assist clients in scheduling and preparing for Shareholder meetings including:
- Review of completed Proxy Planning Guide to ensure all requirements and timeline deficiencies are communicated to the issuer or their advisors.
- Advice / guide clients of regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and advise client and finance of advance funds required for mailings and other applicable services.
- Advise appropriate parties of potential corporate actions to be approved at meetings and their impact at TSX Trust.
- Track voting requirements & prepare tabulation report attend and prepare Scrutineer Report for submission to the Chair of the Meeting.
- Prepare for closings, review agendas, provide confirmations and other required documents.
- Attend equity closings.
- Identify, interpret and communicate special service requirements of clients.
- Coordinate Terminations and liaise with successor transfer agent to provide records and with the client to ensure documents, instructions and payments are received.
- Enforce and monitor reservation orders, normal course issuer bids and caps on capital.
- Liaise with clients regarding treasury order deficiencies and legend removal on transfers.
- Client requests, including preparation of statistical & shareholder reports.
- General inquiries, including confirming issued and outstanding shares.
Skills and Experience
- Completion of Canadian Securities and similar courses is preferred, but not essential.
- Minimum of 5 years‑experience in financial industry or transfer agent experience is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Word), Google, Database Management and other desktop applications.
- Minimum of 5 years‑experience in financial industry. Transfer agent experience is preferred.
- Ability to work with senior officers of corporations and a strong desire to develop and maintain positive client relationships.
- A good working knowledge of the securities industry and capital markets.
- A willingness and ability to adapt to a changing environment and responsibilities.
