About Us
Wentworth Hospitality Group (Tableau Bar Bistro, Homer St. Café & Bar, Maxine’s café & Bar) is looking for a bar manager for their new Italian Concept in East Vancouver.
We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, creativity and a strong cocktail, wine and coffee knowledge, with a focus on Italian spirits and amari.
The Bar Manager will nurture a culture of collaboration while delivering a high-quality and innovative product and dining experience consistent with our brand.
Responsibilities include ordering and stocking of all Liquor, Wine and Beer products, weekly inventory and sales projections, training of new and existing bartenders and team members and finally cocktail development.
Reports to the General Manager and Beverage Director.

Position Responsibilities

- Promote a positive team culture while maintaining proper procedures, operating standards, and proper dress code
- Develop bartenders through training and coaching
- Exemplify excellent customer service, create an upbeat environment for customers, and display leadership in guest hospitality
- Execute drinks to the highest of quality and service standards whilst maintaining a fast pace of service
- Innovate and create new products, methods, and drinks
- Protect the restaurant and guests by complying with sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
Profit & Sales
- Drive sales, support team members with new opportunities and ensure the seats at the bar are filled
- Ensure limited product waste, spillage, and portion control
- Complete weekly bar inventory and ensure all equipment is stocked in the adequate amount
- Control the Liquor, Wine and Beer costs through weekly inventory, using accurate pars and ordering systems
- Influence and find compelling ways for our businesses to reduce costs and improve systems
Skills & Qualifications
- Education : A post-secondary degree ideally in business management or hospitality & valid BC Serving it Right Certification
- Experience : Prior experience in the restaurant industry with proven management and coaching skills
- Ability to work varied hours
- Knowledge about driving sales and meeting financial goals
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and coffee
- Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and employees
- Customer service focus and quality orientated
- High energy level, with a tolerance for stressful situations
- Able to successfully coach and manage people
- Driven toward personal development
- Computer Skills : Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS systems
