The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation (RVHF) is proud, through donor gifts, to support exceptional patient care at RVH.
We recently began a $100 million fundraising campaign that will support RVH’s plan to expand, including doubling the size of our current location and adding a new site in Innisfil.
We are seeking a customer-service oriented, motivated Donor Relations Assistant to join our talented RVH Foundation team, which has the primary focus of fundraising.
The Donor Relations Assistant will support strategies that will help build and sustain a solid financial foundation for the RVH.
Key priorities include the detailed execution of donor donation data entry, data processing and receipting. A key focus of this position includes timely and accurate thank you letters which accompany receipting in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines.
The Donor Relations Assistant must possess superior written and verbal communications skills as the first point of contact with donors over the phone, in person and by email.
Responsibilities :
Ensuring a positive donor experience by :
- Greeting donors over the phone, email and in person and acting as a brand ambassador for RVH and RVH Foundation by providing exceptional customer service
- Accurately entering donor information into Raisers Edge CRM under direction of Donor Database Lead
- Maintaining accuracy of constituent records, including aspects of pipeline management in partnership with Donor Advisors
- Receipting and thanking donors in a timely, personal, meaningful and frictionless way
- Assisting with preparing and maintaining the integrity of mailing lists
- Working with the fundraising team to appropriately remind major donors of annual pledges
- Assisting in the tracking and preparing of cards, letters and relevant collateral for special fundraising programs
- First point of contact for gifts in kind, organizing delivery, storage and distribution in collaboration with the Donor Experience Officer
- Assisting with event registrations and invoice processing
Encouraging ongoing donor commitment by supporting Stewardship with :
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of stewardship and cultivation materials including donor reports, holiday cards, cases for support, etc.
- Support the Donor Experience Officer in executing on the Foundation’s recognition strategy, including coordinating in-hospital signage
- Assist with stewardship and engagement events, as required
Education & Experience :
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in office administration, data base management or fundraising
- Minimum 1 year experience in managing a database, including data entry, donation processing, data integrity, etc., preferably in Blackbaud Raisers Edge / NXT
- Proven experience in identifying opportunities for donor engagement and enhanced involvement
- Proven experience and results in supporting events, communications and fund development
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, with intermediate to expert skills in Excel and running Mail Merges in Word
- Experience with Blackbaud products (Raisers Edge, NXT, Online Express, Importacular) an asset
- Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency regulations for charitable tax receipts
