Rate : $100-$130 CAD per hour

Job Summary :

PureFacts is seeking a talented Scala Developer with full-stack expertise to join our team. This role requires a seasoned developer with 5-10 years of experience in Scala development, proficient in both front-end and back-end technologies.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our revenue management platform, leveraging their expertise in Scala, Play Framework, and PostgreSQL on AWS Aurora.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain scalable applications using Scala 2 and Play Framework.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement front-end solutions using jQuery and Scala template.

Manage database operations with PostgreSQL on AWS Aurora.

Utilize AWS cloud services for deployment and infrastructure management.

Contribute to the long-term transition plan to migrate the application to .NET and Azure cloud.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

5-10 years of hands-on experience as a senior Scala developer.

Proficiency in front-end technologies such as jQuery and Scala template.

Strong expertise in back-end development with Scala 2 and Play Framework.

Experience with handling large dataset (millions to tens of millions of records)

Experience working with databases, specifically PostgreSQL.

Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to adapt and contribute to a transitioning technology stack.

True client centric and can often see things from the client’s perspective

Nice to Have :

Knowledge of .NET framework.

Experience with React, Redux and Typescript

Experience with Azure cloud services.

Willingness and interest in participating in the transition to .NET and Azure cloud technologies.
