Theresponsibilities of the Commercial Managerinclude :

• Directand coordinate the activities of a site technical office programworkloads and adviseon commercial strategy for successful project execution;
• Manage commercialand project control matters of major projects including changemanagement procurement prime contract management cost controlearned value management scheduling and riskmanagement;
• Developand enforce commercial / project controls policies processesandprocedures;
• Providecommercial and contractual advice and reports to Executives andProjectManagers ;
• Leadall claims and change management with respect to clients and subcontractors;
• L eadtrain and develop commercial / project controlsstaff;
• Managethe input of various bid phases including commercial review andrisk analysis of contracts;
• Overseethe commercial management of designers and the design process .

Requirements

• Bachelors degree inEngineering (preferred) Business orLaw ;
• Minimumof 15years of experience working on large heavy civilprojects ;
• E xperienceworking on large infrastructure projects ispreferred ;
• E xperiencerepresenting companies in adjudication mediation and commercialnegotiations negotiating contracts claims management / disputeresolution ;
• E xperiencedeveloping and implementing strategies for risk and opportunitymanagement;
• Soundunderstanding of contractual commercialand financial functions on majorprojects;
• Knowledgeof contract language change management and legal requirements of contracts;
• Abilityto liaise / coordinate internal and external legal counsel and experts;
• Proficien twith MicrosoftOffice ;
• Excellentorganizational communication and writing skills ;
• Ableto perform in afastpaced environmentwith tight deadlines;
• Excellentpeople and leadershipskills;
• Willingnessto travel regularly and overnight ;
• Bilingual(an asset) but proficiency in English language with excellentcommunication skills (written and verbal) isrequired.
