Job Summary: The Expedited Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating expedited shipments to ensure timely and efficient delivery. This role involves scheduling, tracking, and communicating with drivers and clients to facilitate the smooth operation of expedited logistics services. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and dispatch expedited shipments to meet customer delivery requirements. Monitor the status of shipments and provide real-time updates to clients and internal stakeholders. Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and shipment details. Resolve any issues or delays that arise during the dispatch process. Optimize routing and scheduling to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or a related field is a plus. Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation management, preferably in an expedited shipping environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in dispatch and logistics software. Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
