You will coordinate student-led initiatives, employee programs, partnerships, and community engagement activities. Furthermore, you will weave EDIB principles into the core of our academic experience, in shaping curriculum, pedagogy, co-curriculars, and organizational systems, ensuring Branksome Hall is an inclusive environment for all.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the school to design, coordinate and implement Community, Inclusion and Belonging (CIB) programs, initiatives, and events across the Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools.

  • Partner with the Head, CIB, and academic department to support the creation and design of EDIB-focused resources into curriculum, pedagogical approaches, co-curricular programs, and school-wide practices.

  • Contribute to idea generation and planning in anti-racism education, anti-discrimination education, and minoritized youth well-being in the K–12 context.

  • Support and lead the coordination of student-led initiatives, parent engagement, partnership development, and employee inclusion and affinity programs

  • Design and implement comprehensive employee programs, including developing learning resources, professional development opportunities, and capacity-building initiatives, to advance EDIB awareness, skills, and leadership while promoting continuous learning and reflection

  • Collaborate with teams to deliver professional learning and other strategic initiatives on mentoring, anti-racism, ReconciliAction, and civil discourse.

  • Serve as an advisor on student equity, inclusion, and belonging, providing evidence-based recommendations and support implementation of new student-focused priorities in alignment with school strategy and EDIB frameworks.

  • Provide research-based insight to inform EDIB-related recommendations and action planning to enhance an inclusive school culture, and collect or analyze research with the Chandaria Research Centre where appropriate.

  • Collaborate with the Communications team to produce accessible and inclusive materials and campaigns that reflect the diverse voices and lived experiences of the Branksome community.

  • Draft and maintain CIB communications, including newsletter updates, social media content, and website materials.

  • Partner with internal teams to coordinate logistics and materials, while supporting the development of BIC events and recognition initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate degree in Education, Social Sciences, Equity Studies, or a related field is required or 5 years of related work experience in an educational environment

  • Ongoing professional learning in areas such as inclusive curriculum design and pedagogical frameworks, anti-racism, reconciliation, and inclusive education is strongly preferred

  • 5 years experience developing, coordinating, or implementing equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB) initiatives within an educational or organizational setting

  • Proven ability to design and facilitate EDIB learning and development initiatives, including workshops, discussions, or professional learning on topics related to EDIB and social justice

  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, and strong project management skills with planning events, creating inclusive resources, and supporting strategic or data-informed decision-making processes

  • Demonstrated ability to apply anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and reconciliation-informed frameworks to programs and policies

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive topics or confidential information, and capacity to work with empathy and cultural humanity

  • Strong problem-solving and adaptive thinking skills, with a proactive approach to emerging EDIB opportunities.

  • Demonstrated leadership presence with the ability to inspire, engage, and mobilize others toward shared inclusion goals.
