Job Description Summary :
- Always maintain safety and security of the ramp and comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, company and carrier policies and procedures
- Guide arriving aircraft to the gate safely without damage or injury
- Unload baggage and cargo in a speedy and safe manner
- Deliver arriving luggage to the claim area within guideline
- Upload outgoing cargo and baggage according to load plan requirements
- Dispatch aircraft safely without damage or injury
- Maintain area cleanliness
- Communicate with Operations, Flight Crew personnel and other ground personnel concerning arrival / departure information in a professional manner.
- Operate ramp equipment, including but not limited to bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors and water and lavatory servicing vehicles in a safe manner.
- Periodically check the ground equipment for functionality
- Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location
- Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
- Carry out other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- High school / GED
- Must be able to pass a background check, and able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
- Must be able to lift up to 32 kg.
- Carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
- Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods and work in confined spaces
- Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises
- Must be able to work various shifts and days of the week. Airlines are 24 / 7, so we require our team to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must possess a valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Must attend every day of pre-employment training. All prospective agents must pass training to continue with employment
