The candidate will gain exposure in Fund Accounting principles and will network with various internal teams and external NAV Agents.

Responsibilities
- Perform next day oversight of previous days NAVs that Manulife has outsourced to our NAV Agent partners
- Identify, investigate, resolve, or escalate all breaks in oversight tools within 24 hours of NAV publication. Be able to independently perform inquiries and seek relevant information from appropriate external and internal parties to adequately finalize investigations.
- Ensure archived packages meet audit standards.
- Exhibit judgement in when dealing with unexpected issues or understanding the materiality behind a flag and determine the optimal amount of work in pursuing the issue.
- Demonstrate an ability to prioritize work and mitigate risk. Be proactive to resolve (or escalate) issues and advance pending inquiries.
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills :
1.Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in the Investment industry.
2.Strong knowledge of information systems and Microsoft Office suite;
3.Bilingual, French and English, written and spoken
4.Experience in fund accounting or investment administration;
5.Knowledge of and experience with securities instruments / settlement, foreign exchange, reconciliation, investment accounting and Fund reporting.
Nice-To-Have Skills :
CGA, CMA, CA, CPA or CFA (candidate) designation an asset;
Education :
- Bachelors degree in in finance or accounting required
- Additional Soft Skills required;
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually;
- Demonstrate initiative and take responsibility;
- Detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to react quickly, adapt to changes and meet tight deadlines;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
