Digital Marketer

Remote : Edmonton, Alberta OR Calgary, Alberta

Our client, fast-paced scaling tech start-up, is in search of a Digital Marketer to join their growing team on a remote basis in Edmonton or Calgary .

As a Digital Marketer, this candidate will drive our company's growth by contributing to the achievement of our goal. We are seeking someone with a proven background in B2B digital marketing, including lead generation, content creation, and marketing analytics.

Strong communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Digital Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute a robust digital marketing strategy, leveraging a deep understanding of target markets, customer segments, and channels.
  • Keen to follow brand direction from leadership and brand team, with a focus on executing the brand vision digitally.
  • Utilize SEO mastery to enhance online visibility and improve search engine rankings, driving organic traffic.
  • Collaborate effectively with designers and copywriters to create visually appealing and compelling digital assets.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives that align with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities to motivate teams, drive marketing efforts, and achieve growth targets.

Content Creation & Optimization

  • Lead digital messaging efforts by collaborating with leadership, brand designer, and copywriter(s) to create high-quality and engaging digital content.
  • Manage and optimize lead generation campaigns across various digital channels, ensuring content creation is compelling and, effective.
  • Manage content creation strategy approved by leadership.
  • Coordinate content strategy with relevant team members to ensure the team is on the same page with digital presence.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to write, publish and maintain a cadence of Blog & Article posts, using that content to create Email Marketing and Social Media related useful content.
  • Identify and address conversion bottlenecks in the user journey (mainly on the ads & website) through A / B testing and other Conversation Rate Optimization (CRO) techniques.
  • Work with Product to develop an automated process to update users on their Monogram account usage and provide interesting weekly stat summaries.

Paid Advertising & Analytics

  • Plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns, including pay-per-click (PPC) ads and social media advertising.
  • Leverage data analytics to collect, interpret, and make data-driven decisions, measuring campaign effectiveness.
  • Mastery of digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Ads for creating and managing ad campaigns.

Email Marketing & Automation

  • Implement email marketing best practices, including list segmentation, automation, and the creation of effective email campaigns.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools and workflows to streamline tasks and nurture leads.
  • Collaborate with the Growth Leader and Leadership team to ensure email marketing is in line with the general content creation strategy.

Social Media Marketing & Analytics

  • Manage and leverage social media platforms for brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Generate reports and present to the Leadership team.
  • Proficiently use content management systems (CMS) for managing and publishing digital content.
  • Use marketing analytics tools, including Google Analytics and marketing automation platforms, to track and measure marketing performance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Adapt to evolving digital marketing trends, technologies, and consumer behaviours.
  • Gather, interpret, and leverage data related to discovery, conversion, retention, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ethical marketing practices.
  • Maintain and update the integrity of our CRM system and file management system.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Product teams under the guidance of the leadership team.

Experience

  • 3-8 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on B2B client acquisition and growth.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales and the customer journey, particularly within the SaaS industry.
  • Proven excellence in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and MarTech tools.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Passion for technology, staying up-to-date with tech news, attending tech trade shows, and engaging with tech-related content.
