Job Description :
Functional support analyst is accountable for dailysupport and responsible to analyze accounting issues duringproduction phases.
As required along with functional support anduser setup may be performed. The Analyst shall serve on a teamwhich acts as the first pointof contact ( Level 1 and 2) : the rolewill be to receive to record and to understand issues to fixbusiness logic issues suggest improvements route unknown issues toLevel 2 vendor support staff and to then communicate the resolutionto the requestor.
Need to be an expert in fund accounting activityhave a good understanding of NAV cycle be able to lead analysis offigures at accounting level (be able to explain NAV variations) befamiliar with classic financial products and derivatives
Main Responsibilities :
Monitoring and supporting the daytoday productionactivities.
Diagnosing and provide and high level of functionalsupport for accounting applications Multifonds FA / WEM &Calculo.
Analysisand solving accounting and technical issues during productionphases raise change requests to the vendor ensure the follow up ofissues until the delivery of patch correction.
Understand prerequisites foraccounting migrations and specific accounting events such as mergersplit / change of currency of share classes.
Contribute to maintain a very stable BAU todeliver NAV on time and match with the deadlines.
Flexible approach to workinghours to meet the demands of the team. Willing to work in differentday if required.
Provide guidance instruction direction to their team andhelp team create and maintain shared team values.
Testing of new Multifondsfunctionalities.
Internal Global Communication between APS IT anddevelopment teams.
Providing an added value to set efficient work around inBAU.
Avoidingrecurring incidents
Closely follow up monitoring dashboards.
Ensure excellent communicationreporting and escalation as and when needed.
Participate in the several fundmigration activities testing internal meetings and catchup callswith the external service providers.
FundAccounting Platform :
The process offund accounting is highly sensitive and is regulated by severalindustry norms. To work in the is process it requires :
Expertisein the business and indepth understanding of the functional processin general. This includes the knowledge of financial instrumentsNet Asset Value (NAV) calculation that is the key value for anyMutual funds.
Mustbe an expert in fund accounting activity.
Be familiar with the different existing fundsstructures on the market (multiclass funds poolings segment masterstructures concept of share class hedging...)
SMEcore accounting applicationMultifonds FA / WEM software (Temenos) to provide a high level offunctional support.
Key Skills andQualifications
Bachelors degree infinance / accounting required; advanced degree considered a plus.
Minimum 4 yearsfinancial industry experience.
Knowledge of ITL is a plus.
Experience with Oracle SQL / PLSQLACCESS& EXCEL
Priorexperience creating procedures
Good written and spoken English
Must have worked on Collecting Metrics &Analyzing the request / tickets
Measure and identify areas for improving Quality andoverall Delivery
Able to communicate efficiently
Good Team Player
French / English
Domain
Knowledge and / or experience of the investmentservices industry / Funds Administration will be mandatory
Prior businessanalysis experience in an application support environment
