Purpose :

The Technical Writer / Editor will work with subject matter experts to deliver high-quality reports and proposals to insurance, legal, municipal, and private clients.

The Technical Writer / Editor’s primary tasks will be editing, formatting, plain language writing, and fine-tuning reports and proposals, ensuring they adhere to the Company’s style and brand guide.

Role responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) :

  • Review and edit technical reports and proposals for grammatical correctness, clarity, and consistency
  • Format technical reports and proposals to match company style
  • Provide feedback to experts and work together to ensure products meet clients’ needs
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to organize and write content for technical reports and proposals
  • Develop and publish design elements for reports and proposals, including cover pages and supporting graphics
  • Summarize documentation and transcribe text and audio materials
  • Contribute to internal technical writing projects
  • Develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Support other members of the Technical Communications and Marketing teams as necessary

Requirements :

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Intermediate design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Minimum - years of writing / editing / communications experience
  • Educational background in English, Communications, or a related field
