Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting a search for an experienced Project Logistics Supervisor to lead the logistics strategy for a large mining project in North America.

This position will require rotation to site on a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation schedule with chartered flights leaving Vancouver or Calgary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing all logistics activities for the mine construction project and will be the subject matter expert for all transportation requirements, overseeing delivery schedules, logistics service providers, and sub-contractors, including specialist oversize, and overweight shipments and challenging geographic and weather influences.

The role requires extensive logistics planning, schedule coordination, and contract management to support efficient project execution.

Responsibilities :

  • Create and manage the Project Logistics Plan
  • Manage Capital budgets and schedule for project logistics requirements
  • Assess and manage feasibility of delivery and timelines
  • Support project expeditors, suppliers, and site construction teams to maintain a unified logistics approach.
  • Manage all logistics service agreements, cost management, reporting, and supporting tenders for services as required.
  • Develop initiatives that reduce costs, mitigate risks, and support schedule adherence, while optimizing processes through continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Project Material Manager, Discipline Leads, and coordinate closely with Construction to meet site requirements.

Requirements :

  • A degree in a related field and Logistics designation (or equivalent work experience)
  • A minimum of 12 years of logistics and material management experience,
  • At least five years of large project experience.
  • Demonstrated experts in project and remote logistics management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are required
  • Spanish language skills an asset

Rewards :

  • The project team are open to a range of experience profiles and rates will be based on previous experience and qualifications.
  • Hourly rate range of $90 / hr targeted for qualified candidates.
