Job Summary : The Technical SR&ED Writer will be responsible for documenting and articulating the technical aspects of our clients' R&D projects to support SR&ED claims.
This role involves coordinating with our clients as well as collaborating with key internal stakeholders (technical analysis and financial teams) to gather and synthesize complex technical information, ensuring compliance with SR&ED program requirements.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, exceptional writing skills, and a keen understanding of the SR&ED program.
Key Responsibilities :
Documentation Preparation : Develop comprehensive technical documentation for SR&ED claims, including project descriptions, technical narratives, and supporting evidence.
Ensure documentation meets SR&ED program guidelines and accurately reflects the technical challenges and advancements achieved.
Technical Writing : Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accurate descriptions suitable for SR&ED claims.
Maintain consistency and quality across all documentation.
- Collaboration : Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather detailed technical information on R&D projects.
- Analysis : Analyze and interpret technical data, specifications, and reports to support SR&ED claims.
- Project Management : Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Compliance and Standards : Stay updated on SR&ED program requirements, guidelines, and industry best practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in a technical discipline or technical writing is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years technical writing experience, preferably in an R&D or engineering environment.
- Experience with SR&ED claims preparation.
- Exceptional comprehension, technical writing and editing skills.
- Strong understanding of engineering and scientific principles and best practices.
- Excellent research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation.
- Experience with competing priorities in the face of firm deadlines.
