Youth Buddies JK Lead for Youth Buddies

About the Program

The Youth Buddy Program aims to facilitate connections and foster friendships between newcomer youth and buddies. Through the program, Youth Buddy Jrs (ages 12-17) and Srs (ages 18-25) will be matched and will participate in one-on-one interactions and social activities at their Jamatkhanas.

About the Role

The Youth Buddy JK Lead will be responsible for managing the implementation of the program at their respective Jamatkhanas.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Engage with buddies and newcomers, and facilitate with overseeing newcomer and buddy interactions at Jamatkhanas.
  • Assist with planning and execution of social activities and programs.
  • Provide support to the AKYSB Youth Settlement team.
  • Manage volunteers and encourage participation in the Youth Buddies Program.
  • Work closely with the Settlement Council JK Leads.

Skills and Competencies :

  • The applicant should be over 18 years old
  • Has a passion for helping youth within their Jamatkhanas
  • Likes to build new relationships and is social
