Responsibilities
- Increase the delivery effectiveness and agility of the identified cross-functional projects. This role will co-lead a couple of business and IT initiatives to observe project agility, or lack of, in actions;
- Provide an assessment of the WCB's IT agility identifying the acute issues inhibiting efficiency and effectiveness;
- Propose solutions and recommendations to address acute issues;
- Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and workshops to elevate capabilities (both behavioural and technical engineering) to address the acute issues and lay the groundwork for sustainable change and growth;
- Transfer knowledge to the WCB's management;
- Review the WCB's IT Target Operating Model (TOM);
- Identify and recommend structural changes to the WCB's IT engineering and service delivery functions in the TOM that will enable an integrated approach for all future projects; and
- Document key must-do repeatable processes and agility behaviours to embrace and track over the next 30, 60, and 90 days
Qualifications
- Minimum fifteen (15) years' expertise in IT change management and agility coaching;
- Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience in IT leadership positions;
- Minimum fifteen (15) years' IT engineering experience with significant depth in cloud engineering, dev / ops, and API development;
- Extensive security, data, and integration background;
- Credentials in change management, coaching, and agile;
- Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence, persuade, and motivate teams and individuals;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team engagement skills, strong motivational skills, and highly collaborative;
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills;
- Organizationally savvy, with situational and contextual intelligence of the political climate of the WCB and how to navigate obstacles and politics; and
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to read the room
