Maintenance Person

Job Description

Tasks and responsibilities :

• Assist in the proper operation of building systems (e.g., air conditioning, heating, fire system, alarms system (theft), elevators, plumbing, electricity, etc.);
• Perform minor repairs (e.g. carpentry, plastering, painting, replacement of lights, locks, chairs, filing cabinets, drawers, phones, etc.);
• Perform various installations : computer station, shelves, etc;
• Assist the Fire Chief;
• Perform other duties as required (e.g. cleaning parking, testing the fire system, etc.);
• Be available for after hours emergencies;
• Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications

Requirements :

• High school diploma is required;
• DEP in building maintenance (an asset);
• Experience in building maintenance (minor repairs, handling, etc.);
• Be able to lift loads (furniture, boxes, etc.) up to 50 pounds;
• Be resourceful and detail-oriented;
• Working at height (stepladder or ladder);
• Working schedule : Monday to Friday, daytime;
• French is required for this position.
