Job description

An established, family‑run manufacturing company with over 40 years of success is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their experienced team in the Whitby area.

This is a hands‑on, multi‑skilled role with an electrical bias, working in a fast‑paced and supportive environment where reliability and initiative are key.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical equipment
Carry out electrical fault‑finding and installations
Support planned maintenance, project work and respond to breakdowns
Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
Rotating shift pattern earlies, days, nights on a Monday to Friday rotation

About You

Electrically apprentice‑trained with recognised engineering qualifications

Minimum 12 months’ practical maintenance experience

Confident working with 3‑phase systems up to 415V

Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic systems

Strong problem‑solving, planning and communication skills
