Gynecologic Oncologist
Job Description
Our Gynecologic Oncologists work closely with a collegial multi-disciplinary team as well as radiation and medical oncology, surgery, pathology, diagnostic imaging.
Clinical service includes new patient visits / consults, medical / surgical care, follow-up visits / ongoing monitoring as well as participation in clinical trials patient enrollment.
On-call and after hours care is supported by Clinical Associates and Residents. Teaching is required; (protected time is provided) and will be assigned based on an equivalent sharing principle within the provincial group.
Other shared and distributed provincial activities include presentation of M&M rounds, regular attendance and participation in the provincial quality improvement committee, monthly business meetings, journal clubs, as well as provincial retreats.
Job Qualifications
Education :
- Degree in Medicine with specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty fellowship certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Gynecologic Oncology.
- Work experience is an asset.
- An interest in and / or prior experience with clinical research is considered an asset.
Credentials :
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
- Must be eligible for membership and privileges with the Saskatchewan Health Authority in Regina.
Other :
- Criminal record check
- CMPA Coverage or equivalent
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Three references will be required (at least one from a practicing Gynecologic Oncologist)
