Job Details & Requirements Job Summary Design of new products. Ensure all parts are designed to the highest reliability.
Ensure all new product designs comply with Crystal’s quality requirements. Design products that meet the demands of our Global Water Feature customers.
Key responsibilities New Products Introduction Custom Products Introduction Maintain Product Information Support Sales, CST, Marketing, Purchasing, Quality, Suppliers & Customers Support Production New Products Introduction New Product Projects Deliver high quality, reliable designs on time and on budget.
Design and engineering for new products. Work closely with sales, CST, quality assurance and production team to prevent problems with products.
Responsible for first build of production of new parts and the continuous production improvement thereof. Conduct FMEA on new designs and report findings before initiating full production.
Product endurance and performance testing. Create safe Products and Designs ADA Compliance, NSF Compliance for interactive play, research other standards and compliance Knowledge of product design & assembly for manufacturing process.
Determine Materials science knowledge necessary to make robust products for our industry. Help estimate costs, production times, equipment / tools & staffing requirements for new products.
Help with the introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment. Creation & maintenance of Engineering Build Information Package (SOP & Engineering Documents).
Custom Products Introduction Manage Custom Product Projects. Deliver High quality, reliable designs on time and on budget.
Design & plan BOM, budget, routings, and project manage time builds. Ensures custom build projects are completed on time and to customer’s approval.
Fully responsible for all custom builds, firsts builds, estimating and product costing. Creation & maintenance of Engineering Build Information Package (SOP & Engineering Documents).
Cost effective product design solutions. Design and Support Custom Products and ensure good Engineering discipline is followed.
Responsible for custom builds, firsts builds, estimating and product costing. Maintain Product Information Maintenance of documentation data;
such as editing, version control, archiving, library security, & communication of all product information. Support Sales, CST, Marketing, Purchasing, Quality, Suppliers & Customers Have regular and frequent communication with sales and marketing on new products and report on them as required monthly.
Review with procurement the estimates for projects before parts are purchased. Support Production Assist in first build through to production.
Responsible for accurate builds when supplying drawings. Responsible for the production and accuracy of New Product Bills of Materials.
Review with production the cost and time estimates for projects before parts are purchased. Training & Development of colleagues on the manufacturing team and Process Engineering team for new products Ensure all product documentation is available and accurate for production for new products.
Regulatory Compliance Ensure all parts produced are fully compliant with UL / CSA, CE and Saber / Saso standards. Other responsibilities Undertake any other assignments as reasonably issued by your manager.
Adhere to the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics . Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) New Product Performance, on time, hitting cost target.
Building prototypes, testing for functional, compliance and fitness for use. Document availability and accuracy available for production.
Competency Requirements : Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements Diploma in mechatronic or electronics technology or equivalent 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in product engineering.
Very good English spoken and written skills. Ability to work with a mandate and minimum supervision. Ability to work well in a team.
Microsoft Office Solidworks, AutoCAD, Altium, Eagle CAD Knowledge of prototyping controllers, such as : Arduino, Rasberry Pi, Beaglebone programming and wiring Ability to read drawings and schematics.
Ability and desire to work hands on with prototyping and testing of new products. Knowledge of materials, particularly for treated water and corrosive environments.
Basic hand tools, assembly, soldering, cutting and forming. Knowledge of bills of material and Manufacturing drawings. Ability to travel internationally.
Ability to perform physical tasks, lifting, carrying and climbing safely. Salary $60,000 to $65,000 based on relevant experience.
