The camp provides a diverse range of activities to create a memorable summer experience for campers.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Camp Director at Camp Riverwood.
Responsibilities include overseeing daily all day to day camp operations, camp activities and lesson planning, coordinating programs, ensuring camper safety, managing all staff inlcuding summer leadership team, and communicating with parents.
The role involves creating a fun and engaging environment for campers to learn and grow.QualificationsCamp and Staff Development skillsCommunication and Customer Service skillsExperience working with childrenStrong leadership and organizational skillsFirst Aid and CPR certificationPositive and enthusiastic attitudeAbility to adapt to changing situationsRequirementsExperience - priority consideration will be given to candidates with day camp or overnight camp experienceSkillsOrganized, self-motivated, attentive to detailsAbility to multitask in a fast paced environmentEnjoy working in a group setting with teenagers, adults, and young childrenFamiliar with mac computersProficiency in utilizing various digital tools, software and online platforms is highly preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve digital challenges efficiently is a valuable skill for this role.Availability : September to April : Flexible and negotiable hours (Monday to Thursday, 9 : 30 am - 4 : 30 pm)May and June : Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pmJuly and August : Full-time commitment, Monday to Friday 7 : 30 am - 5 : 00 pmMust be available for Camp Staff Training weekend at the end of JuneSeptember to June Office - Location : 11123 Kennedy Rd.
