Job Description

Multiple openings due to company expansion

What will you do?

MIG aluminum welding and hull / vessel construction
Fabrication includes fitting of pre-cut parts
Preparation of components for welding
Sub-assembly of parts including welding
Ensure work area is kept clean and organized to reduce or remove hazards
Follow all applicable EagleCraft Boats and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety regulations

What do you need to succeed?

Proficient in MIG (Push-Pull) welding, pulse experience preferred

2-3 years previous experience in welding and fabrication of aluminum products

Ability to safely operate saws, grinders, drills, and other power tools

High attention to detail is required in order to achieve quality standards

Ability to read blueprints / drawings and understand work order specifications preferred but not required

Compensation range based on experience; $30.00-36.00 hr. Higher pay range for experienced aluminum boat builders.

Wage reviews are conducted after successful completion of the probationary period and annually after the first year of employment.

Every Friday is a day off, Day shift

Working Conditions

18+ years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada

Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward

Exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort, high noise levels

Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed

Noticeable pressure from deadlines, accuracy or similar demands exists
