Responsibilities

Pharmacy operations manager - Calgary, AB - Healthcare

• Supervise pharmacy assistants and non-regulated staff, including operations pharmacists, hybrid pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and registered technicians.
• Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure the accurate and timely completion of pharmacy dispensary operations, meeting or exceeding audit and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to the pharmacy company-wide lean processes, best Practices, KPIs, quality and efficiency, and process improvement initiatives.
• Work with regional, senior, and executive team members on company-wide initiatives and strategic vision.
• Maintain client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, consistently meeting customer requirements.
• Oversee scheduling, inventory management, payroll activities, bill payments, drug recalls, medication incident reports, and other managerial tasks.
• Manage staffing needs, including recruitment, training, development, coaching, performance management, and addressing concerns.
• Participate in special projects, such as new business transitions, service evaluations with external vendors and stakeholders, and other pharmacy-related projects.
• Support business development activities, attend professional conferences, and participate in stakeholder meetings as needed.
• Promote and embody the pharmacy mission, vision, and values, which include collaboration, accountability, responsiveness, and excellence.
• Respond effectively to challenges, act with urgency, and maintain a focus on action-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC or Alberta College of Pharmacy.

• Previous management or leadership experience is advantageous.
