Overview
We provide full pharmacy team support, progressive pharmacy practice, and friendly staff in a patient‑focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate staff.
- Possess entrepreneurial skills and passion to build the business.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring that staff pharmacists are properly supported in their cognitive and patient care functions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations, policies and procedures and accrediting body standards.
- Maintain continuous professional development to remain current on latest advances in the pharmacy industry.
- Provide professional and clinical functions related to dispensing, including pharmaceutical care, patient counseling, and liaising with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient care.
- Establish and maintain effective communication, scheduling, and direction with pharmacy staff daily.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to communicate and implement new or existing policies and procedures.
- Perform performance assessments (probationary, annually).
- Provide training and support the pharmacy team members in their professional growth and development.
- Manage internal recruitment and selection process.
- Train and orient new employees.
- Maintain proper labor relations and conditions of employment.
- Proactively identify and solve staffing, dispensing, delivery, and reimbursement issues.
- Oversee all aspects of the operations (order entry, customer service, dispensing, compounding, inventory management, invoicing, deliveries).
- Actively seek out new and innovative ways to improve processes.
- Manage P&L statements and attain target metrics (e.g., Labor, Inventory, Expense control).
