We are hiring a Junior Mechanical / Civil Engineer to join our downtown Vancouver office. The successful candidate will work as part of the mechanical engineering team developing engineering solutions and preparing design deliverables for projects primarily within the mining and hydroelectric industries.

They should have an interest or experience specifically with mechanical engineering of hydrotechnical systems, including but not limited to pump systems and pipelines in industrial settings.

Responsibilities for the position may include the following :

• Working as part of a team in the office and field on mechanical design projects (i.e. pump station and pipeline system design)
• Undertaking engineering design calculations using proprietary and commercial tools.
• Preparation of technical reports, drawings, and cost estimates under the guidance of Project and Senior Engineers, with a focus on conceptual through to Issued for Construction design of mechanical systems for domestic and international projects.
• Occasional travel to project locations both domestic and international.
• Working in the consulting industry and dealing directly with clients

Requirements :

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and be registered as a Engineer in Training (or eligible for registration) in the province of British Columbia.
• A valid BC driver’s license.
• Asset : knowledge of AutoCAD, Plant3D, AFT Fathom, HEC-HMS, Muck3D

The estimated base pay range for this position is $72,000 to $82,000 CAD. The salary offered will be dependent on relevant knowledge, experience, and skill level.
