About the role
We are currently seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to join our National Human Resources team.
As a Senior Compensation Consultant, you will act as a resource person, providing strategic advice and support on compensation and terms and conditions of employment.
What you'll do here :
Provide advice on compensation and employment conditions and propose integrated solutions to complex issues, taking into account business needs, best practices and alignment with the organization's values.
Establish and maintain a partnership with supported groups and actively participate in team meetings and projects as a compensation expert.
Develop corporate project plans by assessing feasibility and impacts in close collaboration with other centers of expertise (payroll, systems & analytics, change management, communications), and ensure coordination and deployment.
Lead or participate in activities related to the annual compensation cycle (annual merit pay review, market positioning analysis, etc.).
Detect value-generating opportunities and proactively identify practices requiring adjustment or improvement.
Contribute to skills development within the team and the HR community.
Keep abreast of market trends, compensation practices and legislative changes.
Lead training or information sessions.
What you bring to the table :
Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, actuarial science or relevant field.
Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in compensation (in a consulting or project management role).
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (required).
Experience in systems and analytics (a definite asset).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French and English).
Bilingualism in French and English is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
