How you’ll make an impact :
The Part-Time Associate roles are crucial for getting our orders out to our customers in Canada, through both our eCommerce web operations and Retail Stores. Candidates must have strong attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting directly to a Supervisor, the role involves the following :
Housekeeping, safety and warehouse complianceAccurate and efficient order picking and packing, labeling cartons with the correct shipping and content labelsResponsible for inventory management including clean up and replenishmentResponsible for quantity and quality picked into any outbound cartonsCross-training on machinery, including : forklift, end rider, order picker, walkie rider, wave rider, aisle masterUsing Radio Frequency (RF) ScannersMaintaining minimum performance standards while performing required job functionsKnowing, understanding, and following all Standard Operating ProceduresWorking safely and abiding by all of Carter’s safety rules and proceduresActively support Carters culture and values with other AssociatesOther tasks as assignedWe’d Love to hear from you if :
Must Be :
Skilled at multi-tasking, and able to react quickly to frequent priority shiftsDetail oriented and the ability to maintain focus in a high activity processing settingAble to work closely with others (teamwork)Preferred skills and experience :
Work experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment, is an assetKnowledge of hand (RF) scanners and experience using WMOS is an asset, but not requiredPhysical demands :
Repetitively lift cases weighing up to 50lbsWork in a multi-channel, multi-shift distribution environment, flexible to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needsStand and work for long periods including daily overtime, holidays and overtime as requiredIntermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkwardWork in varying temperaturesShifts will be scheduled within the following hours : Day : Monday - Friday 7 : 00am-3 : 30pmAfternoon : Monday - Friday 3 : 15pm-11 : 45pmOur Team Members :
