310 Licensed Mechanic (Windsor)

TLS (Challenger Group of Companies) is seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Truck Mechanics (310T) to join our Windsor Maintenance Department.

Purpose :

You will use current technology to ensure the highest performance and safety of all vehicles. Working in a clean and organized environment you will participate in a training program designed to upgrade your skills and keep you informed of new technology.

Duties :

• Preventative and scheduled repairs : Review and follow work order instructions from start to finishFill out on work order all parts used and input comments (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repairInspect total vehicle, road test and test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices and isolate faultsNotify shift Team Leader of any other needed repairs
• Using the Enrich System, identify any warranty repairs and complete necessary paperwork for warranty processing
• Perform Ministry of Transportation vehicle inspections as per Ministry guidelines
• Shunting and moving equipment in and out of maintenance facility and other destinations for repairs
• Shop cleanup : Put away any equipment used, including personal toolsShop cleanliness, emptying garbage cans at end of shift, washing floors and sweeping
• Attend shift meetings as required
• Participate in formal and informal training sessions

Qualifications :

• A licensed Mechanic (310T)
• Possess a valid G Driver’s License
• Able to use current technology to ensure vehicle safety and performance
• Willing to be trained

Hours :

• Days : 7 : 00AM - 3 : 30PM
• Afternoon : 3 : 00PM - 11 : 30PM
• Midnight : 11 : 00PM - 7 : 30AM
• Weekends & On-call availability
