Job description

We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk within our Operationsteam to help support our Automotivebusiness. Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? That’s right! Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Motors, Actuators and Massage Systems. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk you will have the opportunity to support Customer Service achieve operational excellence. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by assisting in various operational duties.

As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk you will:

  • Schedule shipments by phone, email, or internet.
  • Prepare shipping documents such as packing slips, bills of lading, and invoices.
  • Create master labels and ship-to labels for each outgoing pallet.
  • Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing labels of goods against the packing slip; report any discrepancies.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
  • Direct the driver to sign the shipping documents; retain the signed documents as proof of shipment.
  • Send Advanced Shipment Notices (ASNs) to customers.
  • Update and maintain daily incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy; perform physical inventory counts on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Other tasks assigned by direct manager.

To Be Successful you will need:

  • ­ High School Degree required, college diploma preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar office role in Supply Chain Management/Logistics is a plus
  • Internal training on processes and procedures
  • ­ Very good command in MS Office and ERP systems usage
  • ­ Knowledge of customs requirements
  • ­ Ability to work in teams
  • ­ Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Mandarin skills preferred
  • ­ Accurate working style

Compensaition:

Salary ranges from $40,000 to $41,891 based on experience.
